it truly was satan's day (David Lee Roth's latest released yesterday)
Just when you thought it couldn't get any more horrible. he heads into
a reprise? This is just SO wrong.
what might you expect from the Clown Prince of Rock and Roll?
Actually the band is top notch. John Jorgensen on mando ect. Doesn't quite
match up to Dolly Parton's version of "Shine" as hit material. but this is
still fun. We see Dave still has his famous sense of humor. And I must say.
the tune does lend it's self well to Bluegrass. though the lyrics don't fit.
I'll add that I too have no reverence for VH (Eddie). I once saw him as
some scary devil worshiping guitar demon. But since the break up of the
original VH. I have come to see him as just a pansy ass dork who happens to
be really good on guitar. Dave was the creative force. But also to add.
Dave's voice is about shot. Too bad. he made music fun again after the
dismal late 70's crap.
that was quite embarassing and a bit sad........van halen rule(d) but that
was bad......is he trying to cash in on that whole hayseed dixie thing?
Some one posted a liknk to this project about a month ago. Except for 1 or 2
non Royth tunes. I thought it was pretty awful.
