I really enjoy Mahavsihnu. and need to pick up a few discs to "rediscover"
them.
The book could be interesting.
1) new instruments.
2) advancing recording technology.
3) expanding conciousness of the world's spiritual and musicial communities. the "grass" roots acceptance of non prescription
pharmaceuticals....
It would be impossible to duplicate exactly that particular brew. I often
wonder if I love that era's music only because it was the soundtrack of my
formative years. but the current resurgence of interest among young people
tells me that it's not just personal nostalgia.
somebody say something about rick laird's bass playing.
wasn't he kind of a noel redding? but it ain't like the other guys.
